What do you do if you have been a victim of identity theft? And how do you recognize a scam email? ‘My Digital Self-Defense’ is a free app that helps you stay secure when online.

WARNING ABOUT SCAMS

• Receive alerts about the latest fraud attempts directly on your phone. Danish authorities such as the Police, banks, and IT security firms ensure that you are notified when there are fake SMS messages, emails, or contests circulating.

ONLINE SAFETY

• ‘My Digital Self-Defense’ offers assistance before, during, and after digital threats.
• Guides and articles prepare you to handle cybercrime, while the first aid kit helps you when damage has occurred.
• In addition to enhancing your own digital security, with 'My Digital Self-Defense', you can also help others—either by sharing important alerts with your loved ones or by tipping us about specific threats.

TIP US

• Help others avoid falling into traps by tipping us about the scam emails, fake messages, and deceptive competitions that you have encountered.

The app was developed by the Danish Consumer Council Think in collaboration with TrygFonden.
